Planet Rock Legends: Win £2,000 (or maybe even more...)

cash-master

We're giving you the chance to win £2,000, or maybe even more, every day!

Here's how it works...

Each day, we'll announce a new "Planet Rock Legend" for that day. Listen to Planet Rock for it, make a note of who it is, then text to make sure you're registered for the competition. If we call you back at 5pm and you correctly tell us who the legend is, you'll win at least £2,000!

If you don't answer the call within 5 rings, or you get the legend wrong, the money will roll over to the following day. At 9am the following day, we'll tell you who the next legend is, and the competition continues.

To take part for the chance to win, text ROCK to 64100!

Texts cost £2 plus one standard network rate message. The competition is open from 17:00 on Friday 15th March 2019 until 17:00 on Friday 19th April 2019. You must be 18 or over and have the bill payer's permission. Alternatively, you can enter online here. Full terms and conditions are below.

ITEM 4: COMPETITION START DATE AND FINISHING DATE
Start Date: Friday 15th March 2019 17:00
End Date: Friday 19th April 2019 17:00
Entries to the competition will open on Friday 15th March 2019 5:00pm.

The first round of the competition will take place on Monday 18th March between 5:00pm & 6:00pm.
The Competition consists of multiple daily ‘draws’. Once an entrant has entered, they will be eligible for every subsequent daily ‘draw’ of the competition.
Where there is no winner for a daily draw, the prize and entries will be rolled over to the next day (one or more rollovers of a daily draw is referred to as a “Round”).

Entry Periods and Round times
Entry to the first draw will open at 5:00pm on Friday 15th March and close at 5:00pm on Monday 18th March.
Following the first draw entry to the competition will open and close as follows:

Tuesday’s Draw – Opens at 5:00pm Monday, closes at 5:00pm Tuesday
Wednesday’s Draw – Opens at 5:00pm Tuesday, closes at 5:00pm Wednesday

Monday's Draw - Opens at 5:00pm Friday, closes at 5:00pm Monday

The final draw will take place on Friday 19th April at 5:00pm. There will be no rollover on Friday 19th April, and if the entrant chosen to play does not answer their phone within 5 rings, or does not know that day’s Planet Rock Legend, another entrant will be drawn at random and asked to play for Friday’s draw. This will continue until we have a winner and the prize is awarded.

If an entry is received after the closing time for a daily draw (but before the End Date), unless you receive a text message advising your entry has been unsuccessful (in which case you may still be charged), your entry will be valid for the following daily draw. For the avoidance of doubt, any entries received before or after the End Date (as stated above) will be invalid but you may still be charged.

The daily draws will take place each weekday (Monday to Friday) approximately between 5:00pm and 6:00pm, but only after entry to that daily draw has closed. Once the Entry Period has closed a random automated draw of all registered, qualifying entrants will take place and the Station shall call the phone number provided by the Entrant.

ITEM 5: COMPETITION DETAILS
Shortly after 9am each weekday (Monday to Friday) on Planet Rock, the presenter(s) will reveal the name of that day’s Planet Rock Legend, as well as that day’s cash prize amount (“Prize Amount”). The name of the Planet Rock Legend and Prize Amount will be valid for the next round only (“Competition Round”) and the Prize Amount be the cash prize that entrants are trying to win (hereby known as “the Prize”). We reserve the right to announce the Planet Rock Legend and Prize Amount at other times each day, including the conclusion of previous rounds. We may also advertise the current prize amount on offer at the station website, social media or via SMS marketing message.

At 5:00pm each weekday (Monday to Friday) entry to the competition will be frozen and the presenter will randomly select (from all registered entrants) a chosen number to call. Competition Rounds will take place each weekday (Monday to Friday) between 5:00pm & 6:00pm.

To be eligible to win, the entrant must answer the phone within 5 rings according to the station’s audio recording (“ring ring” being one ring and not two). The entrant will be asked to play the Competition as soon as they answer the phone. If they are not in a position to play for any reason (e.g. not answering phone, driving, or in a meeting) then they will not be able to play and no other entrant will be called during that particular Competition Round.

If you are selected, you will be required to talk to the presenter(s) and your call will be recorded and played on-air (assuming there is no breach by you of these terms and conditions). If the call is unclear or inaudible due to a poor signal or for any other reason, or the call is disconnected for any reason beyond our control, you will not be eligible to win and we accept no liability in respect of this.

If the entrant answers their phone in time, they will be asked to name that day’s Planet Rock Legend. If they give the correct answer then they win the Prize. If the entrant gives an incorrect answer they will not win any prize.

The presenter will take the first answer given by the entrant as the one and only answer.

For the avoidance of doubt, a winner should not enter the Competition again if they have already won in the previous six (6) months as they are ineligible to win. If a previous winner is drawn at random in a subsequent competition, or subsequent round of the same competition, they will be disqualified, and another entrant will be drawn at random. If it emerges after a winner has been awarded a prize that they are a previous winner, in breach of these terms and conditions, they will be excluded and the prize shall not be paid to them. If the prize has already been paid, this must be returned immediately upon request. For clarity, it is possible to be drawn more than once, and if the entrant drawn has not previously won a prize, they are eligible to play and to win a prize.

In addition to previous winners, family relations of, or those living at the same residential address as, previous winners of this contest are ineligible to enter.

ITEM 7: ROUTES OF ENTRY AND COSTS
You can enter the competition by sending an SMS message starting with the keyword ROCK to 64100. If an entry is received after the closing time for a daily draw (but before the End Date), unless you receive a text message advising your entry has been unsuccessful (in which case you may still be charged), your entry will be valid for the following day’s draw. For the avoidance of doubt, any entries received after the End Date (as stated above, but subject to a rollover) will be invalid but you may still be charged.

ITEM 8: DRAW DETAILS
Entries will close at the stated close time for each draw. All valid entries will then be pooled, and one entry will be selected by automated random draw.

To be eligible to win, the entrant must answer the phone within 5 rings according to the station’s audio recording (“ring ring” being one ring and not two). The entrant will be asked to play the Competition as soon as they answer the phone. If they are not in a position to play for any reason (e.g. not answering phone, driving, or in a meeting) then they will not be able to play and no other entrant will be called during that particular draw.

If the entrant answers their phone in time, wish to play (and are eligible to play), they will be asked to name that day’s Planet Rock Legend. If they give the correct answer then they win the Prize.

The entrant will not win the prize if they:
•    fail to answer the phone at all; or

The presenter will take the first answer given by the entrant as the one and only answer.
If there are no words spoken (according to the studio’s audio recording), or the call goes to voicemail, even if the pre-recorded voicemail messages starts with the correct Planet Rock Legend this will be judged as a failure to answer and the Prize will not be awarded. The answer given must be clearly audible to presenters and adjudicators and audible on the studio’s audio recording. If this is unclear or inaudible due to a poor signal or any other reason, or the call is disconnected for any reason beyond our control, you will not be eligible to win and we accept no liability in respect of this. If entrants appear in the judgement of the presenters and/or adjudicators to be driving illegally, they will not be eligible to win.

Where there is any doubt in relation to whether or not an entrant has given the correct Planet Rock Legend or the prize should be awarded, we reserve the right to defer decision making to an off-air adjudicator to check the audio recording with reference to these terms and conditions. Where any foul or explicit language is used, we reserve the right to disqualify you and any prize awarded will be forfeited.

All our decisions relating to the Competition and/or awarding of prizes are final. No discussions or correspondence with entrants or any other person will be entered into.
As set out above, following the conclusion of a round, a new round will commence in line with these terms and conditions. For clarity, a new Planet Rock Legend and Prize Amount will be announced for the next round. Anyone who entered any of the previous rounds of the competition, plus anyone entering the current round, will be eligible to win.
After lines are closed, we may record an entrant’s call off-air to be played out at a later time on-air. All callers are still randomly selected in the same way and this will only ever take place after the entries have closed.
