Additional Terms and Conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “NAME PLANET ROCK BEER (Name TBC) ” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition. Entering this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any dispute between our general competition terms and these specific terms, the specific terms shall prevail.
1. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN
Entrants will be invited to submit proposed names for a new Planet Rock Beer online at www.planetrock.com during the entry period outlined below. Once entries have closed, a panel (the “Panel”) including:
- One (1) independent judge;
- Two (2) Bauer representatives; and
- Two (2) representatives of Thornbridge Brewery;
will review entries and select ten names, which will comprise the shortlist. Selection will be based on the entries the panel feel best display creativity required of an innovative new Planet Rock beer brand, taking into consideration the existing culture and marketing of Planet Rock as a whole.
In order to ensure the shortlisted entries are legally and commercially capable of featuring in the Planet Rock promotion, the station will then research the entries to make the shortlist in more detail, including key points including but not limited to:
- Investigating whether the proposed name infringes, or is likely to exist, an existing trademark, copyright, or any other rights;
- Investigating whether the proposed name is otherwise already in use in a way which would make proceeding with the proposed name inappropriate; and
- Proof of age of shortlisted entrants.
Entries which are, on the basis of these tests, judged unable to proceed will be removed from the shortlist. If there is one remaining entry after this sift, the entrant is the Winner; if, instead, there are no remaining entrants after this sift, the panel will select from all entries, excluding the initial shortlist, a replacement shortlist, and repeat the process. If there are two or more remaining entries, the Panel shall assess which entry best fits the criteria required (displaying the creativity required of an innovative new Planet Rock beer brand name, and best fits into the existing culture and marketing of Planet Rock as a whole) from the remaining shortlist. The entrant responsible for this entry shall be the Winner.
In the event that a Winner declines the Prize, the entry that best fits the above criteria, from the remaining shortlist excluding declining Winners, will be chosen, and the responsible entrant shall be the Winner.
