Elo - Don't Bring Me Down

Sticks n' Drums n' Rock n' Roll

Al Murray hosts 'Sticks n' Drums n' Rock n' Roll' every Sunday from 7pm!

The comedian, a drummer himself, will provide the ultimate guide to the drums on Planet Rock in this five week series. Each week, he will introduce living rock legends of the skins, who will tell you exactly how they made the legendary beats we all know and love.

The series launched with Mike Portnoy, formerly of the pioneering Dream Theater, who shed light on where rock meets a whole new world – the mystical realm of prog.

Def Leppard’s Rick Allen revealed the key to his unique technique and sound, which has helped the band shift a staggering 80 million records.

Plus, Deep Purple’s Ian Paice let loose on more than 40 years of drumming for one of rock’s longest serving bands!

Finally, David Bowie’s drummer Woody Woodmansey spoke about ‘Ziggy Stardust’ and working with one of rock’s master creators.

This week, in the final episode, we give you another chance to hear the best of all four guests!

Hear 'Sticks n' Drums n' Rock n' Roll' on Planet Rock every Sunday at 19:00, or hear it again each Thursday at 20:00.
