Creedence Clearwater Revival - Have You Ever Seen The Rain

About Bernard

Used to getting on guest lists, rather than compiling them, Bernard’s day job is in the world of Rock n Roll PR. He is the spin doctor for The Classic Rock Honours, The Download Festival, Hard Rock Calling Festival and The Kerrang! Awards..and one or two monster acts including The Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, Jimi Hendrix  & Aerosmith. But it’s his love of Planet Rock that gets him out of bed at weekends. Give Bernard any random subject and he’ll knock up a list of killer tracks in seconds. He expects the same from listeners and is inundated with some superb listo ideas every week. What other station would have a dozen tracks held together by absurd links such as  ‘’ Drum Intros’, ‘Signs of the Zodiac’ or ‘The Colour Black’? ....only Planet Rock.

Bernard’s radio career was kick started at Virgin Radio in 2003 presenting a weekly show on Virgin Classic Rock but this was just a stepping stone to the premiere league and when the call came in from Planet Rock, he grabbed the opportunity to join the award winning presenting team.

Bernard’s knowledge of all things rock is remarkable and there is no gig, no venue, no band he hasn’t had the pleasure of rocking out to over the years.

He has witnessed (and lists these as the best gigs of his life) -  Jimi Hendrix at Chelmsford Corn Exchange in 1967 ... Pink Floyd at The Rainbow Theatre 1970... ACDC at Monsters Of Rock Donington (twice)...

David Bowie the last Ziggy performance – Hammy Odeon...Thin Lizzy at Glasgow Apollo 1977,  Geldof’s Live Aid Concert  Wembley Stadium 1985, Guns n Roses in their prime at Slaine Castle 1992,..Pearl Jam at Shepherds Bush Empire on 2007 and Joe Bonamassa at his first sell out at The Royal Albert Hall.
