Acclaimed American blues virtuoso Samantha Fish has premiered the video for her new single ‘Bulletproof’.
The opening track on Samantha Fish’s new studio album ‘Kill or Be Kind’, which is released on Friday 20th September 2019, ‘Bulletproof’ is an instantly infectious blues stomper that comes complete with spitting lyrics about a volatile relationship.

Boasting 11 all-new tracks, ‘Kill or Be Kind’ was recorded at Royal Studios in Memphis and produced by three-time Grammy winner Scott Billington and mixed by two-time Grammy winner Steve Reynolds.
Samantha says of her sound: "I'm never gonna be a traditional blues artist, because that's not who I am.
"But it's all the blues for me. When Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf came out, what they were doing didn't sound like anything that had been done in blues before. You've gotta keep that kind of fire and spirit. I'm never going to do Muddy Waters better than Muddy Waters, so I have to be who I am and find my best voice.”
Explaining how she has evolved as a performer, Samantha added: “I think I’ve grown as a performer and as a player. I’ve become more respectful of the melody. You can go up and down the fret board and up and down your vocal register, but that’s not going to be as powerful as conveying a simple melody that people can really connect to and sing themselves.”
Following its release, Fish heads out on a nine-date headline tour in February and March 2020 taking in the following shows:
