WATCH: Metallica release new 'Hardwired' song ‘Atlas, Rise!’

As promised, Metallica unleashed the brand new song ‘Atlas, Rise!’ to celebrate Halloween last night (31st October).

Keeping up the momentum after the searing ‘Hardwired’ and ‘Moth Into Flame’, the six minute 30 seconds metal behemoth once again sees ‘tallica play to their strengths and whets the appetite nicely ahead of the release of ‘Hardwired… To Self-Destruct’.

The accompanying video features footage of ‘tallica laying down the track in the studio while surrounded by a smorgasbord of high-end instruments.

The unequivocal highlight is James’ ultra-satisfied face of approval, which we have lovingly captured above.

Boasting over 77-minutes of new music plus a deluxe bonus disc with covers of Deep Purple's ‘When a Blind Man Cries’, Iron Maiden's ‘Remember Tomorrow’ and the ‘Ronnie Rising Medley’ consisting of the Rainbow tracks ‘A Light In The Black’, ‘Tarot Woman’, ‘Stargazer’ & ‘Kill The King’, ‘Hardwired…. To Self-Destruct’ is released on Friday 18th November.

Last night, Metallica’s masterpiece ‘Master of Puppets’ was played in its unadulterated entirety on Planet Rock after we asked you to vote for your favourite album.
