In a new video promoting Def Leppard’s joint North American tour with Journey, Joe Elliott has poured some sugar on various miscellaneous items.
Uploaded to Def Leppard’s official YouTube channel, the video opens with Planet Rock's very own Joe filling a tea cup with sugar before telling the camera: “Today, as always, I’ll invite you to step inside and walk this way as we explore the hot, sticky sweet wonders of sugar.”
The gloriously cheesy video then sees Joe place a small chocolate cupcake on his cooking station before saying: “Everybody loves cake. It looks pretty good but it could be better… I think it’s time to pour some sugar.” The tiny cupcake is then transformed into a three-tier cake.
Joe then pours some sugar on a burger, a single red rose, a toy guitar, a portable stereo, the ‘Hysteria’ album and a toy dog and ballerina, all to startling effect.
Following their lengthy North American trek with Journey, Def Leppard hit the UK in December for the ‘Hysteria’ arena tour.
It will see Def Leppard perform seminal tracks including ‘Animal’, ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’, ‘Hysteria’, ‘Armageddon It’, ‘Love Bites’, ‘Woman’ and ‘Rocket’ from their 1987 tour-de-force alongside other songs from their incredible back catalogue.
