Queen + Adam Lambert were joined on stage by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders during their performance of ‘Fat Bottomed Girls’ in Dallas on Tuesday night (23rd July).

The band were 23 songs into their set at the American Airlines Center on the latest show of The Rhapsody Tour when the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders arrived on stage to huge cheers from the 20,000-capacity crowd.

Queen have since shared official footage of the performance, which you can watch here:

Sharing a photo of some pompom strands afterwards, Brian May wrote: "This is all have left to tell me that last night’s glorious performance with the wonderful Dallas Cowboys Cheer Leaders actually happened ! Some stray Pom Pom Strands, and a cherished memory. @dccheerleaders !!! It was all too brief.”

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders tweeted: “It was such an honor taking the stage with @QueenWillRock + @adamlambert at the  @AACenter for The Rhapsody Tour last night!”

Earlier this month, Brian May heaped praise on Adam Lambert saying that Freddie Mercury “would approve” of the singer “big time."

Sharing a photo of the singer on Instagram three shows into The Rhapsody Tour, Brian wrote: “And here is the Modern Marvel without whom, for sure, Queen would not be out here delivering at the top level. ADAM LAMBERT is only now beginning to be recognised by the greater public as the true phenomenon that he is.

"Gifted with a voice in a billion, for himself he is a passionate and unyielding perfectionist. Gifted to us, he is the reason that we are still alive as a functioning rock band. And still able to take on new challenges. Plus ... he’s nice. That’s a big deal when you’re a touring family. Freddie (Mercury) would approve, big time.”

He continued: “Also, and I will say this only once, for the benefit of just a few people who haven’t stopped to think clearly. Just imagine how awful it would have been for Roger and myself to tour with a Freddie impersonator. Anyone who suggests such a thing doesn’t belong here.”

Queen’s setlist at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas was as follows:
