All the action from the second day on the hallowed, muddy turf of Donington Park at Download Festival 2019.

With tens thousands of Download Festival revellers still shaking off last night's excesses, what better way to blow off the cobwebs than to watch drummer Henry de Jong of Kiwi teenage metallers Alien Weaponry kicking off the Main Stage action at 11am by performing the Haka. An impressive start.

The Slipknot fans are out in force for the Iowan masked metallers' headline performance tonight:

Loz caught up with the genial Brothers Osborne siblings backstage for an ever-amusing chat. The highlight came when voluminously bearded guitarist John Osborne spoke about challenging Download Festival booker Andy Copping to a fight to see who is the supreme cowboy hat wearer in Donington Park...

Minutes later, Brothers Osborne brought their rock-tinged country sounds to the Zippo Encore Stage:

The heavens opened, but that did little to dampen the spirits during Skindred's imperious set. The Welsh reggae-rockers drew arguably one of the biggest crowds of the weekend on the Main Stage and even brought on Gary Stringer of 'Reef' fame for the Planet Rock playlisted 'Machine'.

Stone Temple Pilots rolled out the anthems during the penultimate set on the Zippo Encore Stage:

Halestorm brought the Zippo Encore Stage to a rip-roaring close:

Slipknot stormed the Main Stage with a relentless and pulsating closing Saturday night set:
