Rush Classical Tribute

Steve Rothery and Adrian Smith make guest appearances

The music of Rush is getting a classical makeover in a new recording by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with guest appearances by Marillon guitarist Steve Rothery and Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith.

The album is a compilation of some of the most popular Rush songs, including the 2112 Overture, which you can listen to here.

RPO Plays The Music of Rush was recorded in Abbey Road Studios, under the baton of award-winning composer Richard Harvey. It features over 60 instrumentalists and 30 vocalists. The RPO collaborated with Deep Purple in 1969, when they recorded Jon Lord's Concerto for Group and Orchestra.
