Guitarist hopes band to scene of emotional 1969 show
In an interview with the Evening Standard, Wood has revealed that he's due to meet up with Keith Richards in the coming weeks to talk about the band's 50th anniversary plans.
"We'll try to recapture the old camaraderie," he said.
"I know Keith is fully supportive, as are the rest of the boys in the Stones. We'll see what we can do as a unit. Playing Hyde Park would be fabulous."
The Stones first played in the London park in 1969 when they performed a free show for an estimated 250,000 fans just two days after original guitarist Brian Jones sadly passed away.
In the interview Wood also talks about being sober for 16 months and his new hobby of gardening.
