Rolling Stones Face Heavy Fine

Band could be charged £200,000 for breaking London curfew.

The Rolling Stones kicked off their "50 & Counting" shows Sunday in London before a packed 02 Arena crowd of 20,000 fans.

The Stones delivered a 2-hour plus set with hits taken from every decade of their career.

Although the Rolling Stones played to 20,000 ecstatic fans on Sunday, they could be facing a heavy fine for breaking curfew rules. The group started their two and a half hour set half an hour later than planned, and so were not wrapping up the show until after 11pm.

The Sun reports that the fine could be as much as £200,000.

The Stones will play a second night at the O2 Arena on Thursday, before heading across the Atlantic for three shows: New York’s Barclay Center on December 8, and the Prudential Center in Newark NJ on December 13 and 15.

Don't forget, YOU can win tickets to see that historic gig on Thursday, thanks to Planet Rock and Viagogo. Simply go to the home-page and answer our Rolling Stones question. Or if you are a VIP you can enter for free in the VIP Competitions section.
