Dire Straits - Solid Rock

Preview Rush's Clockwork Angels Novel

The band release a snippet of their forthcoming novel

Clockwork Angels - the novel - is published in North America this week (11 October over here) and it is co-written by Neil Peart and sci-fi novelist Kevin J. Anderson.

"Kevin did the heavy lifting on the prose-writing," Peart tells Rolling Stone Magazine in a new interview. "But I was involved all the way in review and suggestions and the general shape and mood of it."

Peart also suggests that the novelisation of the album could stretch to a stage show at some point in the future.

"[South Park co-creator] Matt Stone is a pretty good friend of ours," he says. "We just saw him in Ottawa. Those guys not only went from South Park to Broadway, but they had a huge hit on Broadway. I really admire that and I would be glad to take part in anything like that, too."
