Nickelback Respond To Black Keys Comments

The band laugh off criticism

The band had obviously been made aware of the statement Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney made in Rolling Stone over the weekend which said "Rock & roll is dying because people became O.K. with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world. So they became O.K. with the idea that the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be sh*t."

Nickelback responded via Twitter, simply saying "Thanks to the drummer in the Black Keys calling us the Biggest Band in the World in Rolling Stone. Hehe."

It's the second time in the past few months that the band have responded with good grace to high profile criticism, following their skit on website Funny Or Die in response to the petition by Detroit American Football fans to prevent them playing a halftime show in November.
