Manic Street Preachers - From Despair To Where

New Zep Book To Be Released

Barney Hoskyns has written a comprehensive new book about the band

Trampled Under Foot: The Power & Excess Of Led Zeppelin is published on 6 September and it has been written using interviews with pretty much everyone who is still around who had anything to do with the band.

In an interview with the Metro rock critic Hoskyns, who wrote for the NME in the 80s, revealed that he had spoke to "nearly 200 people and I had earlier interviews with Page, Robert Plant and Jonesy in the bank. The sheer number of interviews persuaded me to repurpose it as an oral history, without an overarching narrator."

The book aims to lift the lid on the mythology of Zeppelin for the first time, without those familiar stories of groupies and mudsharks that have appeared in other books.

The book also tells the band's story from their earliest days all the way to the present with the 2007 reunion and Robert Plant's recent Grammy success.
