Mott The Hoople have lined up an April 2019 tour with special guests Tax The Heat.
Ian Hunter, Ariel Bender, Morgan Fisher and their band will play a total of six shows next spring taking in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and Gateshead before culminating with two nights at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.
The dates celebrate the 45th anniversary of Mott The Hoople’s 1974 albums ‘The Hoople’ and ‘Live’ and, alongside tracks from those records, the band will also be performing greatest hits from their career.
Tickets go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 16th November.
The UK tour follows their headline slot at Ramblin’ Man Fair this summer, which was their first festival performance in 44 years. After suffering a stroke in November 2016, Mick Ralphs didn’t perform at Ramblin’ Man but gave the band his blessing.
Mott The Hoople will announce 2019 North American shows in due course.
