Man air drumming to Rush's 'Tom Sawyer' becomes Internet sensation

Baltimore Ravens Marching Band member drums to Rush's 'Tom Sawyer'

Footage of a rain-drenched man playing flawless air drums to Rush’s ‘Tom Sawyer’ at an American football match has gone viral online.

Sports Anchor & Reporter Prescott Rossi posted a video on Twitter of the man, who is a member of the Baltimore Ravens Marching Band, air drumming along to Rush’s seminal 1981 song during the 1st quarter interval in the game between Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills on Sunday (9th September).

Wearing his poncho and completely undeterred by the adverse weather conditions, the man hits his imaginary drumskins with passion, prowess and perfect precision.

Captioning the clip, Rossi wrote: “The best thing I saw yesterday? This guy from the Baltimore Ravens Marching Band playing PERFECT air drums to Rush's Tom Sawyer”

He added: “A little background info... I spotted him rocking during a timeout in the 1st quarter. It was so pure. I always look for cool stuff when I shoot #Bills games, and I'm thrilled that so many people love this dude's energy too.”

Uploaded late last night (10th September), at the time of writing the video has already amassed over 1.9million views on Twitter.

Rush themselves have responded to the viral video, writing "The professor (Neil Peart) would approve!"
