Foo Fighters lynchpin Dave Grohl has reportedly given a massive 100% tip to boost a bar bill to his favourite number, $666.

Dave Grohl and friends imbibed alcoholic beverages at the world-famous Rainbow Bar & Grill on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood following Foo Fighters’ pop-up show in the car park of the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday 26th August.

The resulting bill came to $333.30, however Dave doubled it to make the tab the Number of the Beast itself - $666 (...and 30 cents. Okay it was close enough).

A pretty authentic looking photo of the alleged receipt was shared on a Foo Fighters Facebook page and now it’s doing the rounds on other social media sites.

Ever the good sport, Dave also posed for photos with fans at Rainbow Bar & Grill who took to social media to post pictorial evidence.

Billed as The Holy Sh*ts, Foo Fighters’ surprise show at the Hollywood Palladium featured a 10-song setlist consisting of nine rarely performed tracks and set closer ‘Everlong’.

Queen’s Roger Taylor also played drums on ‘Under Pressure’ with Taylor Hawkins’ covers band Chevy Metal earlier in the day.

The Foo Fighters setlist was as follows:

1. White Limo
2. Wattershed
3. Congregation
4. Gimme Stitches
5. Weenie Beenie
6. Low
7. Hey, Johnny Park!
8. Alone + Easy Target
9. New Way Home
10. Everlong

Foo Fighters' tour in support of their latest album 'Concrete and Gold' called in at Manchester Etihad Stadium and two dates at London Stadium back in June.
