Less than six months before Bloodstock Open Air 2020 opens its doors, a further seven acts have been added to the mightily impressive line-up.
Leading the announcement today are English thrash metal trailblazers Acid Reign, who play the Friday on the Ronnie James Dio Stage.
The Harrogate band reformed in 2015 after 24 years away and performed one of the sets of the entire weekend at Bloodstock four years ago.
"Anyone who witnessed our 2016 show on the Sophie stage knows exactly how much we love playing Bloodstock,” says frontman H (not to be confused with the Steps singer of the same name).
“There is a lot of excitement in the AR camp right now, we finally got a new album out after all these years (29 to be exact) and now we get to put a Bloodstock sized cherry on the top of that cake. Can't wait to see you all there!"
Also appearing on the Ronnie James Dio Stage are Bristol’s hardcore punk crew Svalbard, who play the Friday, and goth metallers Idle Hands on the Sunday.
The Planet Rock presents Sophie Lancaster Stage will boast performances from Soen and Dog Tired on the Friday, and Viscera and Bailer on the Saturday.
It’s also been announced today that there will be a new area called the Nordic Spirit Game Arena where revellers can play for free on XBox and PS4 consoles, together with PCs and Arcade Machines.
