Kentucky rock heroes Black Stone Cherry will return to the UK this coming October for a sprawling headline tour.
Chris Robertson, Ben Wells, Jon Lawhon and John Fred Young are currently hard at work on their seventh studio album, which will be released via Mascot Label Group this autumn to coincide with the 16-date trek.
The tour opens at Southampton O2 Guildhall on Friday 9th October and calls in at Exeter, Folkestone, Bristol, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff, Cambridge and Lincoln before culminating at Nottingham Rock City on Thursday 29th October.
The very special guests at all 16 shows are fast-rising blues rockers Kris Barras Band.
Tickets for Black Stone Cherry’s October 2020 UK tour go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 31st January.
Commenting on their return to more intimate venues, Black Stone Cherry frontman and guitarist, Chris Robertson, says: “We are beyond excited to come back to the UK, our home away from home, but this time we get to play some smaller venues and return to the intimacy that we all love!
“And did we mention the new album is slated for the same time frame as this tour....and a Royal Albert Hall date?!! We can't wait to see you all there!"
Black Stone Cherry’s sixth studio album ‘Family Tree’ was released back in April 2018 and dented the UK album chart at number six. Last year they released the blues covers EP ‘Black to Blues, Vol.2’.
