Black Sabbath Recruit A "Substitute" For Bill

No word on who will replace their drummer for their three dates, but they insist there is another side to the story

The band have responded to Bill Ward's statement from earlier this week which confirmed that he was definitely not taking part in the reunion shows by saying that they will recruit a substitute for these gigs.

"We have decided not to make any detailed comment on Bill's latest statement. There are two sides to every story. We have been working hard at rehearsals making excellent progress after Tony's treatments and we have engaged a substitute drummer for the forthcoming shows. See you at Download."

There's no word on who the replacement will be, but amongst the names on the entirely speculative rumour mill so far are Ozzy drummer Tommy Clufetos, Mike Portnoy and Slipknot's Joey Jordison.
