Metallica - Sad But True

Almost no one deserves success more than Walter Trout. For years he's produced fantastic album after fantastic album, working with very little fanfare and without the wider public paying too much attention.

It is with no small amount of delight, then, that his latest, BLUES FOR THE MODERN DAZE, is not only his most successful album to date but it's also up there amongst the best album of his career.

Over the course of a mammoth 15 tracks of pure blues, you're left exhausted and elated. The playing is simply sublime and it's easy to get carried along in its brilliance. Trout invests every inch of himself into every last note that he manages to strangle out of his guitar - when he plays, you know that he means it. He is, quite rightly, amongst the blues elite and right now he is almost without equal in his field.

Whether you're a hardcore blues fan or just a little curious, Modern Daze has plenty to love. Tracks such as 'You Can't Go Home Again', the awesome title track and 'Never Knew You Well' will serve blues rock fans well, while blues purists will look to the extended workouts on 'Brother's Keeper' and 'Blues For My Baby' for their fix. And regardless of your musical persuasion, if you like your music played with passion and balls then you will adore Blues For The Modern Daze.
