Rammstein - Du Hast

Best New Band

What a year it has been for the Californian four piece.

Their album, Pressure & Time is easily one of the best of the year, they had a song featured in a Hollywood blockbuster (the Hugh Jackman starring Real Steel) and they are getting a reputation as one of the best current live acts on the circuit.

They wear their influences firmly on their sleeve, but at the same time bring that very special extra "something" to the table which should see them go on to much bigger and better things over the next 12 months as they realistically stake a claim to be THE great hope for modern rock and roll at a time when music badly needs them.

We're very excited to see what they do next...

2) SAINT JUDE

Rightfully tipped for very big things throughout 2011, Saint Jude's unique blend of blues and soul has seen them winning friends and fans all over the place. In Lynne Jackaman they have an exceptional frontwoman who's already drawing comparisons to some of the great female blues and soul singers of the past five decades. Make sure you see them live in 2012 because this band are going places.

3) TRACER

Australian three-piece Tracer are the latest in a long line of outstanding hard rock bands from Down Under (e.g. Airbourne, Wolfmother and a little band called AC/DC), but their sound is more firmly rooted in the stoner rock of bands such as Kyuss or east coast US circa 1990. They are heavy, loud and exceptional live. Undoubtedly one to watch in the coming months.
