Example Promotional Page

We use ARTICLES such as this to create PROMOTIONAL pages or PRE-PROMOTIONAL pages.
PROMOTIONAL pages might include a straight advertorial that essentially promotes a product or event: Examples:
- An advertorial for an event (i.e. details about the event, links to tickets etc)
- An advertorial about a product (i.e. details about the product and links to purchase etc)
Make sure that you give information about the product using your own words where possible.
Always turn off the COMMENTS function for Promotional pages. We don't want users to be able to comment on things that are paid for.
Make sure that you give click through details for the product, video (where possible - embed dimension is 508px width, and whatever height is necessary to maintain the aspect ratio of the video. Usually it will be around 286, but this is NOT a certainty) and specific details. In the case of Albums you will need to give a tracklist and retail links, and you may want to do this as a table:

If you are putting together a pre-promote page then you will need to give a little detail about the competition element.
This might read something like this:
All next week we are giving away XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
To enter all you will need to do is come back to PlanetRock.com from Monday and look out for a question relating to the XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
