WATCH: Black Star Riders on songwriting, unwinding and singers who inspire them

In a triple whammy of exclusive video interviews, Black Star Riders’ Scott Gorham, Ricky Warwick and Damon Johnson have shared some nuggets of wisdom ahead of the release of ‘Heavy Fire’ next month.

Kicking things off, Damon discusses what he's learnt from playing with Alice Cooper and John Waite, and co-writing with artists such as Stevie Nicks to name but a few.

The trio then discuss how they unwind outside Black Star Riders and how being in the band is essentially a hobby, before Ricky divulges the singers he is inspired by including, of course, Phil Lynott.
