The Who Want Fans To Film New Video

Tuesday, October 11th 2011 01:00

The band are looking to make a new promo for '5:15'

Quadrophenia is reissued in November and as part of the build up they are asking their fans to make a video for a new single release of '5:15.'

The Who are inviting filmmakers and animators to unleash their creativity and submit a music video that does for the track what the film did for the album.

The video should reflect the 1960s 'Mod Culture' and show inspiration from the musical and visionary journey portrayed in that era. The winning video will be produced as the official video for '5.15'.

The winner will receive $2000 and will work with Universal Music Group's marketing team to finalize the video which will be featured and promoted on thewho.com and The Who's social media channels. The winner will also receive:
- a signed Fender guitar by Pete Townshend
- Quadrophenia: 'The Director's Cut' Boxset

One runner-up (as selected by Pete Townshend) will receive:
- Quadrophenia: 'The Director's Cut' Boxset
- $250

And three People's Choice winners will each receive:
- Quadrophenia: 'The Director's Cut' Boxset
- $250

Entries must be sent by 10 November.
