Talking Heads Movie Named Greatest Concert Film

New poll names Stop Making Sense as greatest live film

The art-rock outfit's 1984 concert film was directed by Jonathan Demme and it was shot over the course of three nights at Hollywood's Pantages Theater in December 1983.

The movie topped the poll put together by Total Film magazine, beating Martin Scorcese's The Last Waltz into second place.

There appears to be a handful of glaring omissions from the list, but more heinously there's a spot for This Is Spinal Tap which is neither a concert film, nor a documentary - it's a comedy about a "fictional" band.
