Kings Of Leon Axe US Tour
Problems within the band force them to cancel 28 showsThe Kings of Leon have pulled the plug on the remainder of their tour following the early finish of one show on Friday and the cancellation of another on Sunday. The news comes after Caleb Followhill had to abandon a show before the end after apparently suffering from exhaustion.
In a message on Twitter, bassist Jared Followhill said he felt "utterly depressed" and that the decision was "completely out of my hands".
"Family has to come 1st. If bass solos & backing vocals were more popular, I'd be there," he added.
Kings Of Leon cancelled a total of 28 dates, including the recently rescheduled Dallas gig and another in Houston.
A statement said: "We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion.
"The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break."
It added that the dates could not be rescheduled because of Kings Of Leon’s upcoming international schedule. The tour will now resume in Canada at Rogers Center in Vancouver on 28 September - a date originally scheduled for 14 September.
