JJ Cale Passes Away
The legendary singer-songwriter has died aged 74.A brief statement on the musician's website states that JJ Cale passed away at 8:00 pm on Friday July 26 at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, California after suffering a heart attack.
The statement also suggests how fans can show their support:
"Donations are not needed but he was a great lover of animals so, if you like, you can remember him with a donation to your favorite local animal shelter."
During his career, Cale collaborated with Eric Clapton, who also famously covered his songs "Cocaine" and "After Midnight".
