Jake E Lee Announces Return

Monday, October 8th 2012 11:30

The former Ozzy / Badlands guitarist is putting together a new band

The relatively reclusive Lee has revealed that he's working on a new album that will feature guest vocal appearances by the likes of Paul Di’Anno, Robin Zander and Maria Brink.

He is also looking for a new singer who will appear on the record and then tour with the new band and perform all of the songs from the new album.

Lee says the singer "must be capable of singing a couple of Ozzy and Badlands songs, while having a strong-enough identity to carry the band into the future.”

If you think you have the musical chops for the job then email ronnie@hideoutlv.com and provide an example of your interpretation of one of those songs.

Lee has been pretty low-key in the music industry for much of the past couple of decades. He featured on the 2009 album, Enuff Z'Nuff and has recorded some solo material in the past few years but generally he has been pretty reclusive.

The last time we saw him was in the video for the song 'We Come Undone' by the band Beggars & Thieves. He performs the solo on the track and has a brief appearance about half way through.
