GNR Confirm Dublin Date
Axl & Co are heading back to Europe this May
GNR will play at the O2 Arena in Dublin on 17 May as part of what is expected to be a much bigger European tour.
What makes this date more intriguing, however, is the fact that this is the venue where the band walked offstage in September 2010 after just 22 minutes when fans started throwing bottles due to frustration at the super late start to the set.
The band returned to the stage half an hour later to finish off their set, but Classic Rock Magazine reports that Paddy Power are offering odds of 10/1 on a fan backlash over what happened last time. Those are the odds on the gig being pulled due to lack of ticket sales. You can also get odds of 3/1 that the band will start the gig on time, and 2/1 that they’ll be over an hour late.
