The Kiss man claims he was tasked with getting the band back together

Simmons has revealed in a new interview with The Sun (via NME) that he was once given a bank account containing hundreds of millions of dollars and a mission to get Plant, Page and Jones to work together again.

He says "In 2009/10 I was given a few hundred million dollars in an account by a large concert promoter and given the task of reaching out to Jimmy and Robert and trying to convince them to get back together."

He says he used his connections to get in touch with the band members but that, despite the money on offer, "Robert just doesn't want to do it".
