Fish Hits The Highlands For Charity

Wednesday, May 25th 2011 01:00

The former Marillion man is looking for sponsors for a charity walk later this week

Fish is hitting the West Highland Way on Thursday for a charity walk that will see him cover 100 miles in 6 days.

He's raising money for a little girl who has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, who will be wheelchair dependent for her whole life but needs funds to purchase the chair.

Here's a personal note from Fish about his walk:

"I leave on the 27th May for a 100 mile hike in the highlands in aid of Elspeth Laidlaw, my super personal secretary and dear friend's 2 year old granddaughter Eilidh. You can find out more about Eilidh and the charity HERE

"Any donations you can give, no matter how small, will be greatly and sincerely appreciated.many thanks in advance to anyone who can help out,
If you've ever wanted to buy me a pint at the end of the bar look on this as a pint across the ether and raise it on my Just Giving page and I in return will raise a spiritual pint to you at the end of the walk in Fort William!"

You can find out all about Eilidh HERE and please be sure to donate whatever you can at the link below

Meanwhile, Fish will be out on the road in Scotland this August and September for an extensive acoustic tour. He also plays a couple of shows in England in June.
