Bob Dylan is recording a brand new studio album and it's possible there may be a Mexican flavour to it
Los Lobos member David Hidalgo has revealed that he has just completed some sessions with Dylan at Jackson Browne's studio in LA.
He revealed that Dylan was particularly interested in some of the Mexican instruments lying around the studio.
"He’d say, ‘Wow, what’s that?’ He liked the sound. So we’d get it in there.”
Hidalgo worked with Dylan on the 2009 Christmas album Christmas Through The Heart but he says that this time it was completely different.
"It was a great experience. And different. Each [time] has been different, all completely different approaches. It’s an amazing thing, how he keeps creativity. I don’t see how he does it.”
