Countdown to Extinction: Anniversary Edition
Megadeth release commemorative edition of the band's most popular album.
Megadeth frontman and songwriter Dave Mustaine has personally overseen a new 20th anniversary edition of the band’s most popular album, "Countdown to Extinction.”
Released on November 6, the 2CD box set includes a digitally remastered version of the original record, along with a 1992 live concert CD which has never been released in its entirety. Also included is a companion booklet, with linear notes by music journalist Kory Grow, a 24" x 36” poster and four collectible postcards.
Megadeth’s "Countdown to Extinction 20th Anniversary Tour” kicks off its North American leg on November 9 at Providence, RI. Before this, however, the band has stated they are heading back into the studio to begin work on their new album.
