Chris Robinson Unveils Second Album In Six Months

Thursday, July 19th 2012 11:30

His new band will release their second album in a couple of months

Chris Robinson Brotherhood released their debut album, Big Moon Ritual, last month but they have announced that's its follow up, The Magic Door, will be released on 11 September.

The new album was recorded at the same time as their debut and it will contain seven songs, including a cover of Hank Ballard’s ‘Let’s Go, Let’s Go, Let’s Go,’ a song the band has featured regularly in their live shows.

"Thom [Monahan - producer] had encouraged us to remain true to the arrangements we had been playing all year on the road.” said Robinson, "We inevitably had some longer pieces and felt that the performances were strong enough that we didn’t want to edit them for any extraneous reasons.”
