Blue Oyster Cult Lose A Bassist

Monday, July 2nd 2012 11:00

Rudy Sarzo has left the band

Ultimate Classic Rock reports that Sarzo is busy with several other projects and has decided to leave the band that he joined in 2007.

In a new interview the former Ozzy Osbourne bassist revealed that he had amicably split with BOC.

"Due to my scheduling with other projects that I’m doing, it became a little bit hard for me to keep a really solid working schedule with BOC, so we amicably, we just basically parted ways. So they can actually find somebody who can devote more time to the band and I can actually pursue other bands that I’m doing.”

There's been no official confirmation from Blue Oyster Cult as yet.

One of Sarzo's forthcoming projects is Tred, a new band featuring former Anthrax singer Dan Nelson, Twisted Sister drummer AJ Pero and Adrenaline Mob guitarist Mike Orlando. They are currently recording their debut album.
